My friend drove me back from a movie yesterday. This friend of mine has been with me ever since I was an ickle little boy. Actually her whole family was. Their mum was my nanny though. Oh those days were simple, my idea of a gift isn't iPod or Gucci. Its Double Decker Prawn Crackers and a cream cake. This was taken during my 5th birthday, and it was the perfect birthday celebration. There was cake, presents and people whom I love most to celebrate with.

I don't quite remember when was this picture taken, but it was definitely before the major overhaul Plaza Singapura went through and during the festive seasons.That fine lady there is my mother. Those were the days when the 80s perm hair and the 80s high waist jeans and the 80s chrome watch and the 80s leather belt were still in fashion. And in fact it still is.

My childhood isn't exactly perfect. My mum has to work, so does my dad. I don't get the toys I want, but it is enough to get me around. There are people that love me like their own child. Yes, my childhood isn't perfect, but hey! I was happy.
