I will soon be property of the Singapore government. Its kinda silly that at this century, guys our age are still slaves for the government.
But luckily I am enlisting into the police (Thank you 观音妈 for giving me such great posting). Well whats not to love from the police. After I get posted out, its 2 days of work and 2 days of off day, now at least that is better than being in the army isn't it. Moreover, the camp is roughly about 30mins bus ride away from my house, which is cool as well.
I took the bus that is suppose to take me over to my camp. It was a loop service and boy was I glad there is this bus servicing that place.
That area is totally ulu. All you see is green grass, green tree, green bus stop, green sign plate, grey poles, a ghost town and more vegetation to make vegans happy. Oh not to mention the SPRAWLING cemetery nearby.
I found out one thing, the Chinese Cemetery is wayyyyyy bigger than any other cemetery of other ethnicity (I believe the Indians cremate their dead?). I think it will be kinda hard to look for a single grave amongst all those other graves.
Yeap, I was actually expecting my future camp to be like a normal summer camp - Low dormitary building, simple mess hall, a lot of unnecessary vegetation growing around and a badly maintained football field.
BUT, I WAS SURPRISED!!!
It looked exactly like the Singapore Sports School but wayyyy bigger. So I think to myself, well I could get use to it. And its not really that bad or least not as bad as I imagined it.
There are alot of things I have to get before I go in. This is the list of it.
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Shower gel
shampoo
facial wash
Detergent/ washing powder
Underwear
Toiletries Basket
lock
nail clipper
alarm clock
watch
slippers
Paper qualifications
Clothes hanger
clothes peg
talcum powder
panadol
water bottle
scrub (You know the one your mum use to scrub the clothes).
Very simple, I don't think I want to bring too much stuff inside first. But these are the necessary and essential items.
These pass few days I have been craving for a tan and donuts. The weather is kinda crappy, its cold and wet almost everyday which kinda make sun tanning a near impossible thing to do. Donuts are fine, but I cannot really afford, monetarily and physically, to eat it everyday. Imagine the amount of weight I put on my body as my bank account gets lighter everyday.
(pic grabbed from ladyironchef.com ~ let me know if you want me to take it down)
I love Tira Miss U from J Co. Its simply too good, with a cream filling that taste like coffee (who cares if its artificial flavoring, I don't) and a vanilla glaze top, its Heaven on a ring.
I realise Mooncake festival is just around the corner. But it only happen RIGHT after I get in. Damn. I don't care I will eat my 大中国冰皮月饼 before I go in. Anyway, mum is buying them soon, so I should be able to savor that sweet lotus paste and salted egg yolk before I enlist.
Oh, I recently went over to IKEA for a walk with my friends and I found this picture.

I think this is most likely a coincidental arrangement. I'm not going to explain why I took this photo, but if I were to give it a name, I will name this picture "The Hen-pecked Husband". Go figure.

And I want a mini cactus garden in my room. Adds color to my already colorful room, that is if you consider off-white walls, with off-white desk and a bed colorful *roll eyes*.
Seriously I can't really wait to enlist...NOT!!!
